Who Is Points Plus?
Our website address is https://pointsplus.com.
Comments
When visitors leave comments, we collect the data shown in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser information to help detect spam.
An anonymized version of your email address (a “hash”) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you use it. You can view the Gravatar privacy policy here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture becomes visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the site, avoid uploading photos that include embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the site can download and extract location data from uploaded images.
Cookies
If you leave a comment, you can choose to save your name, email, and website in cookies for convenience. These last for one year.
When you visit our login page, we use a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.
When you log in, several cookies are created to save your login info and display preferences. Login cookies last two days, and display option cookies last one year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login stays active for two weeks. Logging out removes the login cookies.
If you edit or publish an article, a cookie will be saved in your browser. It includes no personal data and simply notes the post ID of the article. It expires after one day.
Embedded Content
Articles on this site may include embedded content (such as videos, images, or articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves just as it would if you visited those sites directly.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, include third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content — especially if you have an account and are logged in to that site.
Who We Share Your Data With
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How Long We Keep Your Data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are stored indefinitely. This helps us automatically recognize and approve follow-up comments.
For registered users, we store the personal information provided in their profiles. All users can view, edit, or delete their own information at any time (except for usernames). Site administrators can also see and edit this data.
Your Rights Over Your Data
If you have an account or have left comments, you can request an exported file of your personal data we hold, including any data you provided. You can also ask us to delete that data. This excludes any information we’re required to keep for administrative, legal, or security reasons.
Where Your Data Is Sent
Visitor comments may be checked by an automated spam detection service.
